Guitar Rising is a (video game?) software package for the PC or MAC which enables you to plug in your guitar via USB and play along to built in tracks.
The notes you have to play appear on the screen in time to the music, and you basically have to follow it as best you can. It has been said that this will not be so much of a “video game” like guitar hero but more of an educational software package designed to learn you guitar or challenge you if you’re already a pro.
The release date has not been confirmed but on the Guitar Rising official website it states it will be ready for release late 2008.
